Three days at Porte de Versailles, around 660 exhibitors, 17,700 visits at the last edition, and a visitor badge that costs nothing. Dates, hall, the official registration link, and what is worth your time there if you sell alarms or monitoring at the customer's door.

Expoprotection is the main French security and risk show, and unlike most of the shows at Porte de Versailles it does not sell you a ticket. The visitor badge is free, it covers all three days, and it includes the conference programme without an upgrade. There is no paid tier and no invitation code to hunt for.

What you need to know before registering

The badge is issued online, in your name, and covers 3, 4 and 5 November. School groups get in free on the Thursday only, and press access goes through accreditation. That is the whole of the access policy.

Around 660 exhibitors and 17,700 visits at the last edition, with 55 per cent of exhibitors coming from outside France. Expoprotection runs on a two-year cycle, so if you miss it the next one is a long way off.

Why it matters if you sell alarms or monitoring in the home

The residential security sale is one of the hardest field sales there is. The customer did not plan to buy this week, the objection is a monthly subscription rather than a price, and the person who has to agree is frequently not in the room. It is also the sale where the gap between your best rep and your average one is widest.

Two things at the show are worth the trip for a sales director rather than a technical director: the conference sessions on how residential demand is actually moving, and the two or three days of corridor conversations with people running the same field teams as you, against the same objections.

What we offer exhibitors during the show

Three days on a stand produces one to three hundred face-to-face conversations, and almost none of them survive the closing bell. The objection that came back six times is remembered as one, and the follow-up gets written a week later from memory.

MIHOS captures and analyses those conversations for the duration of the show, with consent taken properly at the start of each one. You leave with what was actually said, the objections ranked by frequency, and the follow-ups drafted. Free for the show, no commitment afterwards, and we do it for a handful of exhibitors rather than the whole hall.

See what MIHOS does with your stand conversations

A 20-minute call. You tell us how your team works the stand, we show you MIHOS recording one conversation, writing the report and handing over the follow-up list the same evening. If it does not fit the way you sell, we say so.
