Siro alternative in Europe: what changes when your field team sells outside the US

Siro is one of the few platforms built from the start for in-person sales. For a European team, the product question is mostly settled. The questions that remain are about law, hosting, language and ecosystem.

Looking for a Siro alternative in Europe is rarely about the product concept. Siro records in-person sales conversations, scores them and coaches from them, which is what a field team needs. The question is whether a platform designed around the US market fits a team selling in Switzerland, France or Germany. This page sets out what Siro does, what to check from Europe, and when it remains the right choice.

What Siro is, and who it fits

Siro describes itself as AI sales coaching software for in-person sales teams. The rep opens the mobile app and taps record. When the conversation ends, Siro has drafted follow-ups, updated the CRM and flagged the moments that moved the deal. A feature called Halftime gives reps guidance while they are still with the customer. Before the meeting, reps can review past interactions and roleplay scenarios, and the site says reps roleplay tough objections and coach themselves on real scenarios.

For managers, scorecards measure every rep against your sales methodology, with views by rep, team or location. Playlists collect real moments, such as strong objection handling, into training reels, and managers comment directly in the transcript. The integrations page lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Microsoft Dynamics, plus home-improvement tools such as SalesRabbit, Leap SalesPro, LeadPerfection and Improveit360, and a REST API.

Its industry pages cover dealerships, home improvement, home services, home builders, telecom, multifamily, senior living, medical aesthetics and medical devices. The site states SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA readiness, GDPR compliance for recording and coaching in the EU, and that it never trains AI models on your conversations. For a US field organisation, it is a complete and focused product.

What changes for a team selling in Europe

None of the points below is a defect. They follow from where Siro was built and who it mostly serves, and each one is worth a written answer before a European rollout:

  • The legal framing is American. Siro's guidance on recording is written around US state law, with two-party consent states requiring notice. It offers configurable consent flows and states that the customer is responsible for meeting the consent laws that apply. In Switzerland, recording a private conversation without the participants' consent is a criminal matter, so the configuration is yours to get right.
  • Hosting is not stated. Its privacy policy says the website is hosted in the United States and that personal data may be transferred there with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, and its DPA refers to the GDPR and the Swiss data protection act. The pages we checked do not say where customer recordings are stored.
  • The ecosystem is built for the US. The home-improvement integrations are valuable to American installers and less relevant to a European one. The main CRMs are covered, so this matters mostly if your quoting or canvassing tools are local.
  • Languages and sectors are not listed. The pages we checked do not state which languages are transcribed and scored. The industry pages do not include insurance or pensions, and solar appears only as an example trade in its FAQ. Ask for a test in French, German, Italian or Swiss German on your own recordings.

What to check before choosing a Siro alternative in Europe

Whether you stay with Siro or switch, these five questions settle a European shortlist, and each can be answered in one email to the vendor:

  • Where are recordings stored? Country, provider and contract, not only a GDPR statement.
  • How is consent collected in the room? A step in the product that records the client's agreement, or a configuration left to you.
  • Does it infer emotions? Emotion inference at work is prohibited under the EU AI Act. See what the AI Act bans in sales tools.
  • Does it work in your languages? Transcription and scoring tested on your own meetings, in the languages your clients speak.
  • Does practice come from your clients? Roleplays built from the objections raised in your market, scored against your own method.

What to take away

Siro and a European field tool do the same job. For a team selling in Switzerland or the EU, the choice turns on consent, hosting, language and local support, not on the feature list. Get each answer in writing.

When Siro is the better choice

Choose Siro if your field organisation operates mainly in the United States, uses tools such as SalesRabbit or Leap in the home-improvement stack, or sells in the sectors Siro serves, from dealerships to medical aesthetics. Its in-meeting guidance, HIPAA readiness and US reference base are real advantages there, and a European vendor adds little.

It is also reasonable for a multinational that runs most of its field sales in the US and a small European team alongside, provided the European consent procedure and data flows are documented before recording starts. In that case, keep one method and one scorecard across both regions, so that coaching stays comparable whatever tool records the meeting.

When MIHOS is the better fit

MIHOS is built in Switzerland. The meeting is recorded only with the client's consent, scored against your own method, and every coaching point links back to the timestamped passage of the transcript. The objections clients actually raised become AI roleplays. Follow-ups, next steps and updates to the CRM fields your admin has approved are prepared automatically, with every CRM write logged and reversible, and recordings are stored in Switzerland. MIHOS does not use voiceprints or emotion analysis.

It fits insurance and pension advisors, solar and heat pump installers, HVAC, car dealerships, kitchen and interior showrooms, and security teams selling in Switzerland and Europe. Frequently asked questions

Is Siro available in Europe? Its website states GDPR compliance so organisations can record and coach customer conversations in the EU. It does not say, on the pages we checked, where customer recordings are stored. Ask before signing. Its privacy policy and DPA are the documents to read first, because they describe transfers rather than storage.

Does Siro offer AI roleplay? Its site says reps can roleplay scenarios before meetings and roleplay tough objections to improve. Ask how scenarios are built and whether they draw on your own recorded meetings.

Is live coaching during a meeting allowed in the EU? Guidance during a conversation is not prohibited as such. What the EU AI Act prohibits at work is inferring emotions. Check what any live feature analyses.

Is it legal to record a sales meeting in Switzerland? Yes, with the agreement of the participants. See whether you can record a sales meeting. This page is not legal advice.
